My diorama

In class we have been learning about diorama's during our kai immersion week. A diorama is where you create a tiny version of a place that you are interested in. We could decide if we wanted to make a diorama of Waiherere domain, Gisborne Fisheries or Kaiti beach. I chose to do mine on Waiherere domain. I wrote a report on kawa kawa to go with my diorama . My report had a title, description, location, conclusion and dynamics. I have found lots of kawa kawa at my house my mum has used it for medicine sometimes. I was proud of my work and thought it was fun to do.

our kai immersion week

Last week and this week we had a kai Immersion week. Are whole week was filled with food based days first on Monday some people  that taught us about are body and how the food travels down are body. I liked how they told us about the steps that the food takes. On Tuesday we made pancakes on hobo stoves.  we made them in our house colours i'm in yellow house so I was with Mrs Allan. I loved how we made the hobo stoves and making the pancakes on them. On Wednesday we went to cedenco a processing company. There were a couple places at cedenco my favourite room was the boardroom. Did you know that the word cedenco is made from two men, ced and den? On Thursday we learnt about seeds, we also went to the envirocenter to plant seeds. We also got to take some Broccoli, Rocket, and cabbage. I loved going to the envirocenter to water the vege's. The next week we continued on our kai adventure. On Monday we went to kaiti beach and Gisborne fisheries. I went to Gisborne fisheries first, They told us what they did with the crayfish and told us what types of fish there was. My favourite part was looking at the picture room. On Tuesday we went to waihirere domain, we met a man called sam the trap man. went in our house colours we also went with another group red house. First I went with Sam the trap man In the bush, he was showing us food we can eat in the bush we saw Kawa kawa, bush lettuce, and peku peku then we made bush tea that makes you relax, we made them on hobo stoves then we went for another walkbut this time we went to the waterfall. Last we went to a river that was freezing cold. My favourite part was when we went to the waterfall.

Yesterday we created Anzac writing. It was about Anzac day and all the that Anzac day . 

Four square colouring competion

 

            Four square colouring competition

I won the Four square colouring competition and spent a long time colouring the picture and used bright colours. My prize was a huge bag of treats and I shared some with my cousins Naomi and James. I got a design your own egg, a bag of marshmallows, cadbury marshmallows, pineapple lumps, a bag of lollies, a crunchie egg and a lot more. I won the age group 7-9 in the competition. I can't wait for next year to do it again.

              

delicious cupcakes

Today Theo and Violet gave us some cupcakes.They had green icing and a little Easter egg with a chocolate base it was so delicious.
 I just don't know how we did not see them in the classroom that were just on a seat in a box.

Interschool tryathalon

 This is me when I did the Interschool  tryathalon right now I have done all of it .I was the runner carlos was the biker and theo was the swimmer .It was 10:45 time for my race I was feeling nervous at the start but when I when it was  finished my part, I felt proud of myself .when I tagged  carlos he went off ,when he finished he tagged theo  had the shortest out of me and carlos only having to do 100m while I had 800m and carlos had 1km. When he finished he was puffed .I was shocked to see that we came 3rd place.
